Watchmaker Bell & Ross decided to pay tribute to those professionals that put their life on line to save people in trouble on the high seas. They have designed a line of watches that are designed to meet the needs of Coast Guard professionals. The watches are perfect for Coast Guard divers and pilots. They are sporty and contemporary and have a ton of features designed to make their jobs easier.

The watches, called Vintage Garde Côtes, feature a round case that is tipped with a steel bezel. The newest model is the BR V2-94. It features a pulsometer scale and a anodized black bezel with an aluminum ring. The watch comes with a choice of stainless steel bracelet or a sturdy rubber strap.

The case with the BR 03-92 Black Camo, water resistant to 100m, uses mass-colored ceramic. Wear-resistant, unalterable, scratch-resistant and hypoallergenic, this material is 2nd to diamond in terms of hardness but tougher and lighter than steel.

The Vintage Garde Côtes come in traditional Coast Guard colours—white, orange and red, which provides a nautical flair and gives a nod to traditional military missions. The matte grey dial is surrounded by a bright orange ring. The indices and numerals are coated in white Superluminova. This makes it easy to see the time even in complete darkness.

The colors of the watch are all related to military functions. The metallic grey of the dial represents the fuselage of the helicopters used by sea rescuers. This colour is also used by the army to camouflage its military ships. The orange dial and second hand represents the visual codes that are associated with maritime safety—Code Orange. It is also the color of suits worn by divers during missions. The bright orange colour makes it easy to read the time but is also helpful in rescue operations. The fact that orange is so visible at long distances makes it essential during sea rescues. Both models come with a two-counter chronograph and date. They are water-resistance up to 100 metres.
