TAG Heuer unveiled the Carrera Heuer-01 Full Black Matt Ceramic, its very first men’s chronograph made entirely from ceramic, including the bracelet.

Introduced at Baselwordl 2015, the Carrera Heuer-01 became the cornerstone of an entire new collection characterised by a bold new design, a new in-house calibre, and a new modular case design with 12 different elements enabling multiple combinations of materials and colours.

Black ceramic is used also for the bracelet with H-shaped links and matt finishes. The folding buckle is made in steel and coated with black titanium carbide, with double push-piece safety mechanism.

To guarantee perfect water resistance to 100 metres / 330 feet, steel is still used on all the functional parts of the watch (inner box section, screw-down case back, push-pieces etc.) to enable the gaskets (crystal gasket, case-back gaskets, push-piece gaskets and crown tube) to perform their function.
The skeleton dial made from black ceramic has 3 counters with black snailed ring: chronograph minute at 12 o’clock, chronograph hour at 6 o’clock and small second at 9 o’clock.

Like the hour and minute hands, the satin-finished and polished hand-applied indices are treated with luminescent black markers.
The visible skeleton date disc allows to read the current date in the small window at 3:30.
The 45 mm case houses the 4 Hz (28,800 vph) Calibre Heuer-01 manufacture movement whose red column wheel and skeleton oscillating weight are visible through the transparent case back. Guaranteed power reserve is 50 hours.
