French watchmaker Bell & Ross started out making timepieces that were inspired by the military and aeroplanes. Back in 2016, they decided to dabble in something a little different—supercars. Founder Bruno Belamich designed their first concept sports car, the Bell & Ross Aero GT. It turned out that Belamich was pretty good at race car design too. He schooled the automotive world with his powerful, aggressive design.

Now, the watchmaker is back with a new colorway for their car and a racing car inspired bell ross ww1 guynemer to match. The vibrant orange Aero GT is a rolling daydream. Although it would be great to actually test drive an Aero GT, it will likely never happen as it was created solely to provide inspiration to Bell & Ross watchmakers. The company’s Aero GT collection of watches combine racing colours, layers and textures to bring the supercar spirit to its watches.

The matching special-edition Aero GT watch will be limited to just 500 pieces. It also has an orange colourway. The Satin-polished steel 42mm case houses a calibre BR-CAL.319 automatic movement. The movement features chronograph functions. An orange tachymeter scale is located on the flange. The sapphire crystal features an anti-reflective coating.

The anodised orange movement bridge is reminiscent of the chassis around the engine of a supercar. Other features include a skeleton dial, Superluminova-filled hour and minute hands and water resistance to 100 metres. The strap is made out of perforated black calfskin leather and features orange accents and piping. A satin polished steel buckle finishes up the look.

The 2nd bell ross br03 92 ceramic in the Vintage Garde-Cotes collection is based on the chronograph introduced at Baselworld 2017. Again, the recipe is the same: smaller (41mm vs 43mm previously), as well as slimmer and a lot more rounded. To keep the overall design clean and a bit old-fashioned, the Parisian brand has decided to equip the Bell & Ross Vintage V2-94 Garde-Cotes with a twin-subdial movement, meaning that the dial remains quite sleek. Considering the new colors added to the watch, this is a good option to prevent a loud and busy dial. Sub-dials are oversized and legibility is on par with the vocation with the watch.
