For all their advances, mechanical watches haven’t changed fundamentally in over 340 years. Now Swiss watchmaker Zenith has broken new ground by creating an “oscillator” that replaces the conventional spring escapement with a precisely engineered silicon disc. Zenith claims this makes its Defy Lab the world’s most accurate mechanical watch.

Also this week in Geneva Hublot introduced some watches that pay once again tribute to the “Art of Fusion”, expanding existing collections in extraordinary ways!
It’s that time of the year again: SIHH preview time!
If you’re not familiar, SIHH is the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie, an annual invite-only trade show in Geneva, hosted by the Richemont Group in collaboration with several independent companies.
At the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH) next month, Audemars Piguet will launch three new models in the Millenary lineup, including two all-gold versions set with diamonds and a version with a “frosted gold” finish. The 18-karat white- or pink-gold versions are finished like fine jewelry, with diamonds set into the lugs and bezel, and feature a handcrafted bracelet could stand alone as a piece of jewelry.
